AIL Sound Wall Installation
AIL noise barrier walls can be ground-mounted by using drilled piers or pier and beam design. They can also be mounted directly to bridge parapets and highway concrete crash barriers, or even to existing wall structures.
For ground-mounted barriers, holes are drilled into the ground and reinforced concrete piers are poured and set. For parapet-mounted barriers, the existing parapet serves as the foundation for the AIL Noise wall system. In both of these foundation designs, anchor bolt attachments can be either cast in placeor drilled and set to meet both CSA and AASHTO requirements.
Once the beams are installed our tongue & groove rails slide into place with ease. The rails are added to an interlocking stack 6” at a time until the desired height is reached & then topped with a matching cap. The result is an effective, maintenance free & attractive noise wall system.
